I think the Medulla is the most important part of the brain that deals with human functioning. Because it controls breathing and your heart rate which are the two vital things your body needs to do in order for us to survive.

The most important structure in the brain is the hypothalamus. It is very vital to us because it controls and regulates body temperature, hunger, and thirst. This is why the hypothalamus is very important to us.
